Penn State Football
The Nittany Lions were not just beating themselves, they were beating their own reputation by doing so. But it would be an understatement to say that Penn State’s offense has been anything but dominant this season. So what is Penn State’s offense? It seems to me that the answer is obvious. Penn State’s offensive line has been very good against the run (12th in the nation) and while they are not great against the pass (20th), they have been pretty good at both as well.
The offense certainly isn’t up there with the top offenses in the country, but it does hold its own when compared to the other teams in the Big Ten. The offense hasn’t been perfect, but it should be commended for having done things right thus far.
A couple of points on Penn State’s offense:

The Buckeyes got a bit more rest after winning on Saturday and came out with a vengeance on Sunday. The Buckeyes played a very physical game for most of the game, but the Nittany Lions made it interesting by hitting some big plays down the stretch. They did not score until late in the fourth quarter when sophomore quarterback Dwayne Haskins hit Mike Gesicki for a touchdown pass.

"We showed great toughness up front with our running game that really got us going early when things slowed down at times offensively. We made a lot of big plays late in the second half after the teams started to slow down defensively there.''"That's what this team is all about,'' said offensive coordinator Tim Drevno. "You have to win some games by playing good defense as well as being able to score points so you can be successful overall.""So I don’t think anybody expected us to do anything less than run the football or throw the football effectively right now because if you are not doing either one of those things then you will struggle getting into the State Football: The Ups and Downs of a Final Four Champion
The College Football Playoff's national championship game has been so successful that its ratings have exceeded the NCAA Tournament's, which means it is now the most-watched event in college sports.
That's not to say that the CFP National Championship Game hasn't been a bit of a disappointment for Penn State football fans.
For one thing, the Nittany Lions lost their first game against Iowa by a score of 16-10 on a last-second field goal with 1:16 village time remaining.
They lost their second game at the Michigan by a score of 29-17.
England Under-20s suffered their first defeat of the season in their second game at the University of Michigan on Friday. But even though the Nittany Lions were behind early, they came back into the game and scored 13 unanswered points before Michigan pulled away late enough to win.
